The Cologne dialect band Höhner performed for the first time at the heavy metal festival in Wacken on Saturday.

The metalheads acknowledged the concert in the morning with lots of applause and also sang along with the songs.

Among other things, the band played a cover version of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" with their own lyrics.

Singer Patrick Lück told the German Press Agency before the concert that music is a language of its own that everyone understands.

"That's why we're not worried that the audience won't understand our music."

In the Rhineland, the band regularly brings festival halls to a boil with hits like "Viva Colonia" and "Die Karawane Moves On".

The natural habitat of the Höhner are carnival stages with colorful confetti rain.

In Wacken, on the other hand, the dominant color is usually black.

However, musicians from outside the heavy metal scene have also performed at the festival in recent years, such as Heino.
