On the day of the atomic bombing, a Ukrainian woman living in Hiroshima Prefecture visited the Peace Park in Hiroshima City to mourn the victims of the war and offer prayers at the cenotaph for peace in her homeland.

Olga Perepelitsa (36), from Zhytomyr, a city in the northwestern part of Ukraine, moved to Hiroshima prefecture nine years ago and now lives in Hatsukaichi.

Since Zhytomyr has military facilities, it is often bombed by the Russian army, and since April this year, Perepelica's father has also been living as a refugee in Japan.



On the 6th, coincident with the anniversary of the atomic bombing, Perepelica visited the Peace Park in Hiroshima with her 5-year-old son. was combined.

Perepelica said, "I prayed that the war would end soon and that everyone could live happily. All my relatives and friends are in Ukraine, and some of my friends are in the army and are fighting, so not only nuclear weapons but also war will be gone. I want you," he said with tears in his eyes.
