The New Media Academy supports 121 home projects

The New Media Academy, in cooperation with Furjan Dubai, launched a first-of-its-kind workshop to support Emirati home entrepreneurs.

The workshop attracted 121 Emirati projects from small and medium enterprises, where their owners received intensive and free training from two of the most important experts in the fields of photography, content creation, and digital marketing.

Abdullah Al-Shayji, a professional photographer specializing in corporate and product photography, photography coach and content maker on social media platforms, took over the task of training participants to take professional photos of their products, in an attempt to develop their technical skills, enhance their understanding of the importance of image in marketing the product, and teach them technical techniques that help them To present their products in a way that transforms them from improvised, random projects, to competitive professional platforms in the virtual transcontinental markets.

In this workshop, the New Media Academy assigned the task of training on digital marketing for projects to Coach Jawdat Shammas, an expert digital marketing consultant and certified trainer at Google, who used his more than 20 years of experience to guide Emirati trainees to marketing strategies that would benefit them in promoting their projects and introducing them to Successful marketing techniques that support the ability of any product to withstand the abundance of supply on electronic marketing platforms.

Commenting on the workshop, Rashid Al-Awadi, Executive Director of the New Media Academy, said: “The workshop (Skills of Photography of Home Products and Media Presentation of Projects) comes at the heart of the Academy’s directions, which aims to enable the Emirati personality to enter the digital scene through various social media platforms.

Through this workshop, we worked to support Emiratis in refining their skills, giving them the appropriate expertise to deal with social media, and creating marketing expertise that would enable them to manage and market their businesses without having to rely on a third party.”

He added, "This workshop is the first edition of the New Media Academy's program to support Emirati projects, and through it we have provided the opportunity to train free of charge for 121 small and medium-sized Emirati home projects in the country."

It is noteworthy that Furjan Dubai was established with the aim of reviving social and cultural values, and supporting specialized home projects, through the exchange of experiences and communication between project owners and shoppers in their surroundings, within different neighborhoods in the Emirate of Dubai.
