Prince Akishino and his wife visited the "Inventive Techniques Exhibition," which displays children's inventions.

This exhibition is held every year by the Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation, and the invention works of elementary, junior high and high school students from all over the country are displayed at the venue in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo.

Mr. and Mrs. Akishino visited the venue on the afternoon of the 5th and received explanations from 19 of the 14 award-winning works.

Among them, Takahiro Kudo (15), a third-year student at a junior high school in Kanagawa Prefecture, who was selected for the best Imperial Gift Commemorative Award, said that the concentration of carbon dioxide in the room exceeded the standard value to help prevent infection with the new coronavirus. I invented an automatic ventilation device that automatically opens the window when it is turned down and closes when it is lowered.

When Mr. Kudo explained while moving the device, Prince Akishino said, "How long did it take to make this work? Please continue to do your best."

This exhibition is being held at the Science Museum in Chiyoda Ward on the 6th and 7th.
