At around 22:30 on the same day, the criminal suspect Liu Xiaohui, who was hiding in a culvert on the roadbed of the expressway, found that the police and the public were searching nearby, and then turned on the road and climbed over the construction fence. On August 4th, the criminal suspect Liu Xiaohui died due to severe injuries after the rescue was invalid. The DNA biological test material further confirmed that the deceased was the criminal suspect Liu Xiaohui.
