Kevin Spacey to pay $31 million to produce House of Cards

The latest alleged victim of a sexual assault by Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey filmed part of the 2016 incident, court documents show.

The facts date from 2017. At the time, in the wake of the #Metoo movement and the

Weinstein affair

, Kevin Spacey was accused of indecent assault, and numerous sexual assaults, including on a young man of 18. year.

These put an abrupt end to the career of the actor, twice Oscar winner for

American Beauty

Other charges will follow, this time in the United Kingdom where three men also accuse him of sexual assault.

The scandal is such that Media Rights Capital, the production company of

House of Cards

, of which he is the star, is forced in the wake of a major overhaul of the 6th season of the series. 

In 2020, an arbitration had concluded that Kevin Spacey must compensate for the losses and the costs related to these changes.

The actor, who has always pleaded not guilty, had appealed, but American justice did not hear it that way, considering that Kevin Spacey had violated the terms of his contract because of his alleged behavior.
