[Explanation] In Jilin City, Jilin Province, in early August, the temperature exceeded 30°C. A student R&D team from Beihua University was busy testing products in the sweltering heat to prepare for this year's snow season.

The research direction of this young team is to "digitize" snow sports with the help of wearable devices and big data, and then apply various data to guide and improve the training of athletes and ski enthusiasts.

Jilin City, known as the "Capital of Rime", is one of the origins of ice and snow sports in New China.

Olympic champions and world champions in ice and snow events such as Li Jianrou, Wu Dajing and Han Yutong all started from here and moved to a higher stage.

The good local ice and snow sports heritage and atmosphere have injected confidence into this "Generation Z" team.

With the help of his companions, 22-year-old Li Jiayuan strapped 10 wearable devices to his body and collected motion and posture data with the help of sensors.

At the beginning of the project, we mainly collected data. After accumulating a certain amount of data, we optimized the algorithm to help skiers improve their skiing performance.

[Explanation] In the past ten years, China has made great progress in the fields of mobile Internet, Internet of Things, AI, and ice and snow sports.

In 2017, with the support of Beihua University, a number of alumni in the electrical field formed a research and development team.

As a student team on campus, members will inevitably change with graduation and other factors, but their research and development progress is always online: At present, this team, with an average age of more than 20 years old, has cooperated with many ski clubs across the country, and related results Participated in the training of high-level athletes.

In order to make our algorithm more powerful, we are currently collecting data in major ski resorts to prepare for the winter (snow season) in the future, hoping that the skiing (score) will get better and better.

[Explanation] Now, there are 15 team members, and they are all optimistic about the development prospects of China's ice and snow sports and ice and snow economy in the "post-Winter Olympics era".

According to reports, many "seniors" who left the campus to work will continue to support the team in research and development, so that everyone can do better in the digitalization of ice and snow sports, and then serve more people.
