Gunma Prefecture announced on the 5th that 2,633 new people were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture, and one died.
That's 245 more than last Friday's 2,388, making it the highest number of confirmed cases on Friday.
On the other hand, the prefecture withdrew a total of 15 people announced from the 27th of last month to the 4th of this month.
The number of confirmed infections in the prefecture reached 145,968, of which 356 died.
