Editor's note: The number of college graduates in my country has exceeded the 10 million mark for the first time. Affected by various factors such as the epidemic, the career of graduates this year has been particularly tortuous.

The 2022 graduates are the first batch of "post-00s" to enter the society, and advancing in overcoming difficulties has become their first lesson in society.

At the same time, various localities and departments are doing everything possible to expand channels and escort their employment.

Hope is ahead, how to use the help of all parties to break through smoothly, and how to find a suitable employment path for you?

From July 13th, Xinhua Daily · Intersection has launched the "My Employment Story" column to listen to the 2022 college graduates tell about their unusual job-hunting experiences.

Junction News On the afternoon of August 1, Xia Yang was on fire. When the reporter saw Chen Yanfeng, he was following the village cadres to carry out household publicity for the renovation of three sheds. The brim of his hat was pressed down very low, and there were beads of sweat on his forehead.

Before opening her mouth, Chen Yanfeng grinned, "It's been too hot these days, and I've tanned several shades of shade."

Chen Yanfeng, born in 2000, is a native of Xiexinggang Village, Jinhai Town, Qidong City, Nantong. In June this year, she just graduated from Jiangsu Ocean University with a major in computer science.

In fact, as early as 4 years ago, when Chen Yanfeng stepped into the university gate, he secretly set his employment goal-after completing his studies, he would go back to build his hometown.

"I grew up in the countryside. In the past few years, the village has changed a lot every year." Chen Yanfeng told reporters that instead of looking for "poetry and distance", it is better to build his hometown into the "poetry and distance" that others yearn for.

However, when Chen Yanfeng tried to reveal his thoughts to his parents, he was firmly opposed, "I worked so hard to make money to send you to college, just to make you jump into the 'farm gate', what do you think, you still want to come back ?"

  It's graduation season.

Since March of this year, students have been busy submitting resumes and looking for jobs. Chen Yanfeng's parents also called every three days: "Son, you can have snacks on your own for work!" After discussing with the teacher, Chen Yanfeng decided to stay aside. Submit your resume while doing parental ideological work.

In two months, 50 resumes were sent out. Some of them fell into disrepair, some told him to go for an interview, and some hoped that he would go directly to the job.

But Chen Yanfeng always felt unmotivated, hesitating in his heart, hesitating, "I still want to go back to my hometown and try it!"

In the blink of an eye, it's June, and the work is still undecided.

The parents couldn't sit still, "Son, you will graduate soon, you can't be too high or too low. After all, you can find a job first, and you can't sit still."

"The development momentum of my hometown is very good now, and it is the same every year. The countryside also needs college students. When I go back, I will definitely be able to come in handy." Chen Yanfeng once again had a showdown with his parents.

Parents were moved by Chen Yanfeng's persistence.

What are you doing back in the village?

"You're young and educated, why don't you try it with the village committee?" The words of Wang Haiyan, a village cadre in the area, made Chen Yanfeng's eyes shine.

Last year, Chen Yanfeng took advantage of the winter and summer vacations to assist village cadres to carry out house surveys, and gained a certain understanding of the work of village cadres.

During the epidemic this year, he also participated in the bayonet duty as a volunteer. He was exposed to the wind and the sun for more than 10 days, and one feeling became more and more strong-the countryside needs "new forces".

At the same time, Chen Yanfeng heard good news: Jinhai Town encouraged villages to actively cultivate young reserve forces, expand reserves, and improve the structure of grass-roots cadres.

The opportunity was right in front of him, and Chen Yanfeng was both excited and nervous.

"Some classmates invited me to work in Suzhou, and the salary was not low, but I declined." In the past few days, Chen Yanfeng has been "trainee" in the village committee.

"Not many people know computers in the village. I majored in computer science, which can help realize the information management of data. In the village, I am a highly educated man, and I can do a lot of things!"

The shadow of the sun gradually slanted westward, but the sun was still hot. As he spoke, sweat dripped from Chen Yanfeng's forehead from time to time.

"Aren't you afraid of getting darker in the future?" the reporter asked.

"If you choose, you will not regret it. Wouldn't it be cool and fashionable to build your hometown into a 'poetry and a distant place' in the eyes of others through our hands?" Chen Yanfeng said.
