The death of 3 civilians this Sunday in Kasindi on the border between the DRC and Uganda is fueling tensions against MONUSCO.

The context of the incident remains unclear, blue helmets would have opened fire.

President Félix Tshisekedi met on Monday with António Guterres the Secretary General of the United Nations following this incident.

29 people burned alive and three injured are the results of the attack by a band of about 12 bandits on the village of Ambolotarakely on July 29, in the commune of Ankazobé about 75 kilometers north of the capital.

Army helicopters were deployed to locate the suspects and help ground troops search the Ankazobé area.
