The United Arab Emirates has been keen to launch proactive and innovative initiatives and solutions based on innovation, research and future foresight, and to study challenges and future trends, to enhance levels of flexibility and readiness in future sectors, especially those related to human life, and to ensure a brighter and more sustainable future for our future generations. Wise leadership to transform challenges into opportunities for the UAE’s leadership of the recovery process in the region following the repercussions of the “Covid-19” pandemic, and its effective contribution to supporting global efforts to confront environmental challenges such as climate change and global warming, achieving sustainable recovery and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030.

The UAE plays a leading role in building the future, and is at the fore in the race to establish a future development model.

The country seeks to strengthen international cooperation and global partnerships, to explore and consolidate opportunities for growth and prosperity, and to invest minds for the good of all mankind, to become a global capital for innovation and the making of a sustainable future, within the framework of the process of preparing for the next fifty years, in order to achieve the goals of the UAE Centennial 2071 to make the UAE better A country in the world, as confirms the seventh principle of the fifty principles - the strategic goal to make the UAE a global capital for the future. To the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization “UNESCO” in 2021, to designate the second of December of each year as the International Day for the Future.

The Emirate of Dubai is home to many national edifices that consolidate the UAE leadership in foreseeing and making the future.

Dubai also owns the Museum of the Future, which is a scientific and knowledge edifice that works to institutionalize the foresight process by providing a platform that is the first of its kind in the world for future makers and foreseeers, and in partnership with the most prominent scientific and academic bodies in the world.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution has provided opportunities, tools and advanced technologies with which we manage our environment today, and the programs and projects of the Authority have adopted these technologies to support its plans and improve its services supported by artificial intelligence, robots and the latest disruptive technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in order to provide advanced services in accordance with the highest standards of quality, efficiency and sustainability.

The Data Center for Integrated Solutions (Moro), a subsidiary of the Digital Dewa Group, the digital arm of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, is developing and providing advanced digital services supported by artificial intelligence that will enhance human capabilities and skills and provide distinguished services to customers in a faster and more efficient manner.

The Authority's space program (SpaceD), launched in January 2021 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, contributed to supporting and improving the authority's plans, services and operations.

This future orientation will contribute to the consolidation of a culture of advanced knowledge and innovation as a primary driver that leads the paths of sustainable development in the country.

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority's Innovation Center in the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park is also a global platform for renewable and clean energy innovations.

The center was equipped with the latest advanced technologies for renewable and clean energy to enhance the level of community awareness about renewable and sustainable energy, refine national capabilities and enhance business competitiveness.

In addition to developing the research and development sector in the country, providing it with qualified national competencies, and supporting the scientific community in the country and the world through the dissemination of knowledge and the development of the talents and capabilities of Emirati researchers.

In addition to building world-leading scientific and research edifices, wise leadership considers human beings an essential pillar for achieving a sustainable impact, and is keen to invest in their creativity and innovation.
