Will you cover a bit of

Peaky Blinders

again ?

After six thrilling seasons on the small screen, the series created by Steven Knight should return soon in the form of a film.

And the latter tells the NME that the project was well advanced.

“I am currently in the middle of writing.

I've almost finished the script and we'll be able to shoot.

I am in the process of organizing a shoot in the Digbeth studios in Birmingham”, explains Steven Knight.

A filming location not chosen at random

The creator of the series broadcast by the BBC (and in France on Netflix) specifies that the filming location was not chosen at random: “We will shoot in studios in the Digbeth district and outdoors there as well.

The real Peaky Blinders were just hanging out in Digbeth and Small Heath.

So it's a bit of a homecoming.

“, he says.

A few months ago, Steven Knight had already given indications on the content of the film.

The plot will be inspired by a true story of the Second World War.

In June, Cillian Murphy, who plays the dark gangster Tommy Shelby, indicated that he was ready to re-enlist and that he was waiting for the script.

It shouldn't be long!

According to Steven Knight, the filming of

Peaky Blinders

should begin in 2023. The release date of the film is currently unknown.
