Last week Beyoncé released her seventh album "Renaissance".

Now the world star is changing the lyrics of one of the songs, "Heated", after it was accused of being funkophobic.

The lyrics contain the word "spaz", which has been criticized for being derogatory towards people with cerebral palsy, writes Insider.

In American English, however, the expression can have a different meaning than in British English and can be translated as "balla ur", according to the BBC.

"The word, which was not intentionally used in a hurtful way, will be replaced," writes a representative for Beyoncé in a statement.

In June this year, American rapper Lizzo issued a public apology after using the same word in the song "Grrrls".

"I've had a lot of hurtful words used against me so I understand the power words can have," Lizzo wrote on Instagram.
