The hashtag #ViolCrimeImpuni was projected on the walls of the National Assembly and the Paris Court of Justice, overnight from Thursday to Friday.

This action was carried out by several activists, including Karine Sanzalone, with the aim of challenging elected officials on the way sexual violence is dealt with, explains

Causette

.

The young woman at the head of this movement was raped in 2016. The alleged rapist was a taxi driver.

On June 29, during the latter's trial in Evry (Essonne) for two rapes and a repeated sexual assault, he was sentenced to six years in prison, four of which were suspended.

The two farms are suitable for conversion.

Yesterday night, I went out to support and took a picture of an action plan, projecting the following message onto the monuments of the assembly and the Paris court:

To make react

Faced with this sentence deemed insufficient, Karine Sanzalone has therefore decided to react by launching this movement and by carrying out this action which aims to disturb and challenge the way in which sexual violence is treated.

Which seems to have worked, because many tweets use this hashtag #ViolCrimeImpuni to support the victims.

On July 25, Karine Sanzalone and another victim of the taxi driver also launched a petition to demand that a law giving real priority to the treatment of sexual violence be put in place.

To date, more than 39,800 people have already signed it.
