Scientists study the head of a woman who lived about 2,000 years ago

Scientists have studied the head of an ancient Egyptian mummy that was found in a doctor's home in the British city of Kent.

And according to the British newspaper, “Daily Mail”, that head was found during house cleaning operations after the death of its owner.

The CT scan results showed that the skull belonged to a woman who lived about 2,000 years ago.

As for the mummy's suit, her teeth are worn out a lot, perhaps because she was following a diet of coarse grains, as grains were a staple of the ancient Egyptians.

The tomography also showed that the brain is not present, and this was one of the main operations in the mummification of the dead in ancient Egypt.

But the tongue is in good condition and in place.

It also turned out that there is a tube in the left nostril and spinal canal, but it was not determined whether it dates back to the time of ancient Egypt.

Researchers have not determined how the head arrived at the British doctor's home, but they assume that it was brought from Egypt in the 19th century and passed there as a family inheritance.

The hypothesis is related to a phenomenon that was common in the Victorian era (the reign of Queen Victoria), when guests were watching the process of exhuming mummified bodies.
