Why this book?
Because the personality of the victim, Master Fender, is atypical:
a true orator, feared by his colleagues, evolving in the spheres of power, he devotes a cult to Flaubert which results in strange practices.
Would the investigation lead us to a sex crime?
It would be too simple for Pascal Marmet who leads us into a very clever and drawn-out investigation that will know how to find the end of the story before Commander Chanel.
Because this investigation is dotted with colorful characters
including an extraordinary trainee who mistakenly joins the brigade and a worrying amnesiac who is said to be suffering from "acquired scientist syndrome".
Add to that the ruthless world of business that mixes with politics, and you have an interesting cocktail to have a good reading time.
This book is formidable for its twists and for the addiction that comes from reading short chapters that call for reading the following ones.
Because this investigation calls for others:
François Chanel is at the end of his career and promises us stories rich in adventures.
Pascal Marmet masters the codes of thriller, and it would be a shame to retire such a good cop who keeps the reader from start to finish in this perfectly mastered "execution".
