In summer, there is a "worldly deer garden" in Sunan Yugur Autonomous County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, located at the northern foot of Qilian Mountains.
In the perspective of aerial photography, the towering Qilian Mountains are in the distance, and hundreds of red deer are galloping and playing, resting and foraging on the grassland at the foot of the mountain.
Sunan Yugur Autonomous County is the only Yugur Autonomous County in China.
The red deer farm in Sunan County is located in the high mountain slopes and valleys at an altitude of 2,700 to 3,000 meters in the middle of the Qilian Mountains.
At present, more than 600 Qilian Mountain red deer have been domesticated and bred.
It is understood that red deer in the Qilian Mountains grow in the alpine grasslands from 2700 meters to 3500 meters. They eat a wide variety of herbs, of which 70% are Chinese herbal medicines, so the antler deer blood has a higher nutritional value. Compared with plain red deer and sika deer , it has a high hemoglobin content, so its deer products are of high quality.
