German orthopedic surgeon, Professor Sven Ostermeier, said that “golf has great health benefits, and is suitable for all ages,” noting that it is part of endurance sports, stimulates the metabolism, helps burn fat, and maintains cardiovascular health. Ostermayer added that "golf also trains balance and movement, and strengthens the thigh and arm muscles, as well as being a friend of the joints."
