"The European Broadcasting Union... the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will be held in the United Kingdom," the contest's website said in a statement.

It is noted that Ukraine, as the country-winner of last year, will immediately go to the final of the competition.

On June 17, Eurovision organizers announced that Ukraine would not be able to host the contest in 2023.

This decision was made after an objective analysis, taking into account "current circumstances, guarantees of safety and functioning."

After that, Ukrainian Minister of Culture Oleksandr Tkachenko said that Kyiv would demand that Eurovision be held in Ukraine.
