The Wentian experimental module is the second large module of the Chinese space station after the Tianhe core module. Its main function is to carry out scientific experiments and will be the main workplace for astronauts during their orbit.
It is reported that the Wentian experimental cabin is mainly for space life science research, equipped with experimental cabinets such as life ecology, biotechnology and variable gravity science.
Yang Yuguang said that in the future, astronauts will grow plants, raise small animals, and cultivate microorganisms in these experimental cabinets. "In fact, during the Tiangong-2 mission, Jing Haipeng and Chen Dong have already tried to grow lettuce and raise silkworms. This time the astronauts will have richer scientific research resources.”
