The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has prepared a busy program for its summer camp in Dubai public libraries;

To enrich the imagination of young people during the summer vacation through a series of interactive workshops in a cultural atmosphere that mixes arts, entertainment and fun, during the period from August 1 to 28.

Over the course of four weeks, young and young library pioneers are waiting for an innovative journey within an entertaining and cultural atmosphere that will transform the branches of the Dubai Public Library in Al Twar, Al Mankhool, Rashidiya, Hatta, Hor Al Anz, Umm Suqeim and Al Safa Art and Design into a place of entertainment and education par excellence, through a range of rich and purposeful activities that will launch them through a journey. Exploration in the arts, drawing, literature and handicrafts, as well as competitions and entertainment.

Iman Al Hammadi, Director of the Libraries Affairs Department at Dubai Culture, confirmed the authority's keenness to provide a wide range of educational and entertainment programs and workshops for children, giving them the opportunity to enhance their knowledge, develop their creative skills, unleash their energies positively, spend enjoyable and useful times at the same time during their summer vacation, and benefit from From the experience of public libraries that seek to build an educated generation with creative skills in a variety of fields.

"The camp is an innovative way out of the summer vacation routine, as we aim, through our workshops, to discover the talents of children and young people and develop their creative abilities within a stimulating atmosphere that encourages them to unleash their energies and develop their life skills under the supervision of specialists and experts in several fields," she said. The summer activities offered by Dubai Culture are an integral part of its strategy to support an ecosystem that encourages the development of talent and inspires the younger generations for creativity and innovation.

It is noteworthy that "Dubai Culture" is committed to promoting the cultural and creative environment in the emirate and consolidating its position on the global cultural arena.

The authority manages a network of Dubai Public Libraries’ branches, which includes eight libraries for adults and seven for children, in addition to multi-purpose halls and study halls, providing community members with sources of knowledge in the light of highly efficient services and advanced technologies.

Drawing and crafts

In its summer camp this year, Dubai Public Libraries offer a range of workshops, interactive reading sessions, and various activities related to drawing and handicrafts, targeting young people in two age groups;

From five to nine years old, and from 11 to 15 years old.
