The singer Pink has just unveiled the clip for

Irrelevant

, her latest single, in which she protests against the jeopardizing of the right to abortion in the United States caused by the repeal of the Roe v.

Wade by the Supreme Court, but also against racism.

The video features black and white images of leaders in the women's rights and civil rights movements, followed by footage from recent protests in support of abortion rights and in response to the assassination of George Floyd.

In her song, Pink notably evokes the exhaustion of women who have "taken on themselves as much as they could" and who now see their hard-won rights being put in jeopardy.

For the good cause

“Girls just want to have rights.

So why do we still have to fight?

continues Pink in her words, before calling the conservative judges hypocrites as archival footage from Nazi Germany and Ku Klux Klan meetings flashes by.

Finally, Pink has decided to donate all profits from this song to When We All Vote, an initiative launched by Michelle Obama to promote voting in the United States.
