Jingyun Granary is located in Wuxing Village, Dexin Town, Jingyang District, Deyang City, Sichuan Province. It is located in the core area of Jingyang District Grain and Oil Modern Agricultural Park and is a landmark building in the agricultural park.
In 2020, Jingyang District launched the Jingyang District Grain and Oil Modern Agricultural Park project, and entrusted Kalan Architecture to build a new field for the integration of agriculture, culture and tourism, relying on the pastoral and Linpan to build a new granary.
Jingyang has been the core of Tianfu granary since ancient times, and it is still an important grain producing area in the Sichuan-Chongqing region and even the whole country.
Jingyun Granary was originally an idle collective asset, where the village clinic and the old movie theater were located. It was built on the basis of the park, and now it has become a complex integrating agricultural product display, farmer training, and pastoral office.

Following the design idea of "Tao follows nature", the designer sorts out the surrounding landscape of the building, forming a lively transitional zone between the closed and open, and the gap between the building and the farmland is eliminated, making the whole building blend in. Pastoral, open to nature.
The old house was demolished, the skyline was brightened, the planting belt was arranged, the exterior wall was repaired, and the front courtyard of the house was unified and beautified, and the style of the residential house was systematically improved.
The appearance of the building draws on the common courtyard form in traditional western Sichuan dwellings, and takes the architectural structure of "large eaves and small patios" to adapt to the regional characteristics of the western Sichuan Basin with less sunlight and more rain.
The building follows the trend and is formed on three sides. While breaking the limitations of the site, it also takes advantage of the lightweight structure to turn the traditional eaves structure to form a vivid facade that "looks horizontally as a ridge and a peak on the side".
The interior of the building consists of four box spaces, which are subdivided into functional modules such as Jingyang (Sannong) Work Exhibition Center, Professional Farmer Training Center, Expert Workstation, Fire Control Room, Open Office Area, and Smart Agriculture Management Center. The moving lines are divided to form an orderly connection between various functional divisions.

The east side of Jingyun Granary is the main square, which integrates viewing and distribution functions; the southern entrance plaza integrates portal and distribution functions; the west and north are characteristic planting demonstration exhibition areas, which are composed of leisure plank roads and industrial park services. In 2021, when the granary was first built, it will be used as the main venue for Jingyang District’s spring poetry collection and spring tour season theme activities, and it has become a landmark building for villagers and visitors from all directions to check in on the Jingbei Plain.
