The last monsoon rain is coming and going.

Although there is generally a lull, as you can see, scattered rain clouds are passing through parts of the inland.

The rain is forecast to continue through the night.

The amount is 5-20mm, which is not a lot, and there are more times when it shows a lull during the day.

As the rain subsides, the heat begins to rise again.

A heat wave advisory has been issued for Yeongseo, Chungbuk, and Yeongnam provinces.

Today (24th) the highest daytime temperature in Seoul will be 30 degrees, Yeongwol 31 degrees, and Gwangju 29 degrees higher than yesterday.

In particular, Daegu, where a heat wave warning is in effect, is expected to experience sweltering heat as the daytime temperature rises to 34 degrees Celsius.

In other areas, the daytime temperature will rise to around 30 degrees Celsius, and as humidity increases, the actual heat discomfort will be higher than the temperature.

Starting tomorrow, the daytime temperature in Seoul will rise to 32 degrees, and the full-scale sweltering heat will prevail.
