As of 7:00 on July 23, a total of 109 people in close contact with Chongqing and 256 people in sub-close contact in the Jiangjin epidemic have been investigated. On July 22, the Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention completed the genetic sequencing of the three confirmed cases in Jiangjin on July 21. The comparison showed that they were highly homologous to the epidemic virus series in other provinces.
According to the comprehensive research and judgment of city-level disease control experts, the Jiangjin epidemic was caused by the spillover of the epidemic from other provinces.
