A painful ordeal that the singer and actress wanted to tell while she is worried about seeing access to abortion being restricted in many American states since the repeal of the Roe v.
Wade by the Supreme Court.
“When I was young I had three miscarriages.
The first at 18.
I was alone in the house.
Sonny came home and I was crying on the floor rocking back and forth,” she tweeted.
“I went to see the doctor.
I was screaming in pain.
(…) The doctor sent me directly to the hospital and they operated on me.

Cher then continued her angry scream in response to a sympathetic netizen's comment.
“I never thought I would have to talk about it.
Those crazy Republicans you kill our women for politics!!

she exclaimed.
Despite these successive miscarriages, Cher finally managed to become a mother with the birth of Chaz Bono in 1969. The singer is also the mother of Elijah Blue Allman, born of her union with musician Gregg Allman.
