China News Service, Beijing, July 21 (Reporter Guo Chaokai and Chen Su) The regular press conference of the Emergency Management Department in July was held in Beijing on the 21st.

Shen Zhanli, spokesperson of the Ministry of Emergency Management and director of the Press and Publicity Department, informed the meeting that in the first half of the year, a total of 11,076 production safety accidents of various types occurred across the country, and 8,870 people died.

Shen Zhanli said that in the first half of the year, the national production safety situation was generally stable, showing the characteristics of "three declines", namely: the total number of production safety accidents, major accidents, and major accidents decreased year-on-year.

However, accidents frequently occur in some regions and industries, and the safety production situation is still severe and complicated.

From a geographical point of view, the number of major accidents and deaths in Xinjiang, Tibet, Chongqing, Gansu, Qinghai, and Liaoning "double increased" year-on-year, and major accidents occurred in Guizhou, Liaoning, and Hunan.

From the perspective of industry: First, the problem of illegal and illegal construction in the field of housing construction is prominent. The “1.3” major landslide accident at the Jinhaihu New District project site of the First People’s Hospital in Bijie City, Guizhou Province and the “4.29” special accident in Wangcheng District, Changsha City, Hunan Province occurred. Major collapse accidents of self-built houses by residents; in addition, underground construction operations and gas explosion accidents occur frequently.

Second, the number of accidents in the mining field has decreased, but the problem of illegal and illegal mining is prominent, especially the major roof accident "2.25" in Sanhe Shunxun Coal Mine in Qianxinan Prefecture, Guizhou, which killed 14 people, and Guiyang, which killed 8 people and injured 13 people. The "3.2" gas over-limit accident in Limin Coal Mine in Qingzhen, Shiqingzhen, was extremely bad.

Third, chemical and hazardous chemical accidents are on the rise, industrial transfer projects and old installations have repeatedly suffered accidents, and some chemical companies have violated laws and regulations in production and operation, and the safety risks in hot work and inspection and maintenance are prominent.

Fourth, accidents frequently occur in the transportation industry. Safety risks are prominent in civil aviation, railways, water transportation and fishing vessels. There have been many major risk-related accidents involving more than 10 people in road transportation.

Fifth, in the field of industry and trade, production and operation accidents in metallurgy, machinery and other industries are frequent, and new risks in environmental protection facilities in steel, electric power and other enterprises are prominent, some industrial and trade enterprises are prone to fire accidents, and small business places are at greater risk of "killing people in small fires".
