Dubai Women Establishment has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Dubai International Marine Sports Club, with the aim of cooperating in organizing various activities that support institutional development on both sides, and cooperating in organizing marine sports events for women throughout the year, by employing human expertise and technical capabilities for them, thus contributing to Opening the way for women to participate in marine sports competitions, as well as benefiting from the modern sports facilities of the Dubai Ladies Club, a member of the Dubai Women's Establishment.

The memorandum - signed by Shamsa Saleh, member of the Board of Directors and Executive Director of the Dubai Women's Establishment, and the Executive Director of the Dubai International Marine Club, Mohammed Abdullah Hareb Al Falahi - provides for the development of services to be provided to the affiliates of the two parties, upgrading them to the highest quality levels, and organizing joint workshops related to their fields of work.

Shamsa Saleh said, "The memorandum comes within the framework of the initiatives of the Dubai Women's Foundation to translate the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Emirates Council for Gender Balance and President Dubai Women’s Foundation and President of the Dubai Ladies Club, by providing all forms of support to women in various sectors, including encouraging them to practice sports in various fields, and qualifying them to participate in local and international marine sports events. Women’s sports, and strengthening the club’s leadership in this field.”

Shamsa Saleh indicated that the memorandum enhances Dubai Women's efforts in building influential strategic partnerships in the women's file, and enabling them to play a pivotal role in foreseeing and making the future, as one of the main pillars of the Foundation's work strategy.

For his part, Mohammed Abdullah Hareb Al Falahi thanked Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for the attention, follow-up and support of initiatives that would advance women in various fields, including sports.

He explained that "the signing of the memorandum comes within the framework of the efforts of the Dubai International Marine Club's Board of Directors, to push the sports system and activate the role of women in the marine sports field, in line with the strategic objectives set by the Dubai government, and the directions of the Dubai Sports Council, to make the emirate the first sports destination in the region." and the Middle East”, pointing out that the signing of the memorandum is also in line with the updated strategic plan (2021-2027) for the club to open up prospects for cooperation with sports institutions in the emirate to serve the local community.

He stressed that this cooperation would constitute a major shift and increase the chances of success of the events, as well as the desire of the female component to practice marine sports in accordance with professional regulatory standards.
