Almost two months have passed since the high-profile trial between the two actors and ex-husbands ended.

Amber Heard was sentenced at the beginning of May to pay the equivalent of around SEK 98 million in damages to Johnny Depp for defaming him.

Depp was also convicted of defamation and in turn was forced to pay the equivalent of more than 20 million kroner in damages to her.

Just over a week ago, Heard's legal representatives requested that the case be dismissed, which was denied by the Virginia court.

Heard's lawyers felt that one of the jurors had not been properly vetted.

"The jury member was examined, sat through the entire trial, deliberated, and reached a verdict," the decision from the court reads.

Now Heard is appealing the verdict instead.

Her lawyers have officially filed an appeal, writes the Daily Mail.
