"Rice Paddy Art" in Inakadate Village, Aomori Prefecture, where rice plants of various colors are planted in paddy fields and works such as the masterpiece "Mona Lisa" are in full bloom.

Every year in Inakadate Village, "Rice Paddy Art" is held in which seedlings of various colors are planted in paddy fields that look like canvases and a huge picture is drawn.

I couldn't see it locally last year due to the influence of the new coronavirus, but I can see it at two venues for the first time in three years, and the work is in full bloom.

Of these, the 1.5-hectare paddy field adjacent to the village office has 10 types of masterpieces, "Mona Lisa" and "Lakeside," drawn vividly using seven colors of rice.

When the village challenged "Mona Lisa" 19 years ago, the face was small and the body looked big when viewed from the observatory, but as a result of re-challenge using perspective, pictures such as "smile" The details of are beautifully expressed.

Visitors enjoyed watching the works and taking pictures from the observation deck on the 4th floor of the government office.

A 72-year-old woman from Saitama Prefecture said, "I saw it for the first time, but I was surprised at how wonderful it was. I think she expresses the colors of the work perfectly."

In addition, works based on Jomon and Yayoi drawn at the venue near the Konan Railway "Tambo Art Station" are in full bloom, and both venues can be enjoyed until mid-August.
