The judge accused of killing his wife, broadcaster Shaima Gamal, confesses to the crime, and his "partner" denies

The Sixth Circuit of the Giza Criminal Court in Egypt decided today, Wednesday, to postpone the first hearings of the trial of the accused, Ayman Hajjaj and Hussein Al-Garabli, who are being held in pretrial detention in the case of their accusation of premeditated murder of broadcaster Shaima Gamal, to the August 13 session.

Before the court, the first defendant (Ayman) confessed to killing his media wife, but denied that he had intentionally killed her, while the second defendant denied participating in the killing, according to Al-Hurra correspondent in Cairo.

The representative of the Public Prosecution Office began reciting the referral order, during which he listed the details of the defendants' commission of the crime of killing the victim and mutilating her face in order to hide the features of the body, according to the "Youm7" website.

The Cairo Appeals Court had set a session, Wednesday, to start the trial of the accused.

Judge Ayman Hajjaj attributed his killing of his wife to her threatening to publish pictures of their marital relationship, photographing her without his knowledge and exposing the matter of their marriage among his peers at work, and asked him for three million pounds to accept his divorce without harming his future and reputation, according to what the newspapers "Al-Shorouk" reported. And "Masrawy", quoting the investigations of the Public Prosecution.

According to Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper, the Appeal Prosecution memorandum in the case included that the first accused, Judge Ayman Hajjaj, married Shaima, customarily, on December 4, 2016, and the documented marriage contract documented the marriage of the accused with the victim officially on February 24, 2019. until her death.

The investigations revealed that Judge Ayman Hajjaj agreed with his friend and co-criminal, Hussein Al-Garabli, on a password between them to start carrying out the murder inside a farm in Badrashin (south of Cairo), to which they lured the victim, which is: “Make a cup of tea.”
