After suffering "brutal disfigurements" to her face and body from cold treatment, Linda Evangelista has reached an agreement with the California seller of the device.

As the Canadian model wrote on Instagram on Tuesday, she is ready to start a new chapter in her life.

How much compensation the company Zeltiq Aesthetics Inc. paid the 57-year-old after her $ 50 million lawsuit, she kept to herself.

A few months ago, Evangelista made it public that she was bloated as a result of cryolipolysis, in which fat cells are destroyed by cold.

After the cosmetic procedure six years ago, fat deposits spread across her face, upper body and legs.

Since sport and diet didn't help either, she withdrew from the public eye and no longer worked as a model.

As Linda Evangelista stated in her lawsuit, the cold treatment provider did not warn her of the risk of increased fat cell growth prior to the procedure.

The model, who lives in New York with her son Augustin, seems to have got her appearance under control again after the legal agreement.

After years of being away from the camera, Evangelista had herself photographed with a handbag and baseball cap for the Italian fashion house Fendi.
