Affected by the ground cyclone, from 5:00 on July 20, strong convective weather occurred in most parts of Lianyungang, Jiangsu, and around 12:00, tornado disasters occurred in Tangqiao Village, Longju Town, Guanyun County, and Xiaomao Village, Xiaoyi Town, with a wind force of 15 to 17 class.
The tornado passed through Guanyun County and Haizhou District in Lianyungang, and affected 11 administrative villages in four townships including Xiaoyi Town, Tongxing Town, Longju Town and Banpu Town in Haizhou District.
As of 18:00 on the 20th, according to preliminary statistics, 2,272 people were affected by the tornado and 26 were injured. All 120 vehicles have been arranged to be sent to the hospital for treatment in time; about 649 households and 3,148 houses were damaged; the agricultural disaster area was 3,743 mu .
After the disaster, the local area quickly carried out emergency rescue and personnel resettlement, strictly prevented the occurrence of secondary disasters and accidents, and did a good job in the aftermath of the disaster.
