A promising cooperation between the Mohammed bin Rashid Library and "Dubai Media"

A delegation from the Dubai Media Incorporated was briefed on the specialized and unique services of the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, which it provides to its visitors, especially media professionals, and discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in related fields.

This came during a visit to the delegation headed by the Executive Director of the Radio and Television Sector at the Foundation, Ahmed Saeed Al-Mansoori, to the new cultural edifice in the Emirates. Dr. Muhammad Salem Al Mazrouei, and a number of library officials and employees.

Mohammed Al Murr said: "We are pleased with this visit, which represents an important step in our vision and strategy towards strengthening joint cooperation with government and private agencies and institutions in the country, with the aim of exchanging expertise and experiences, and coordinating efforts and energies to advance the knowledge sector in the Emirati society," stressing that "culture and media complement all each other;

As the media, in its various forms, audio, print and visual, contribute to enhancing the cultural movement and scene, and supporting the creative and civilized renaissance that the country is witnessing, in a way that supports the consolidation of cultural diversity among members of society, enhances communication and openness, and transforms reading and knowledge into a way of life among all.”

For his part, Ahmed Saeed Al Mansouri said: “We were pleased with our visit to the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, which yielded promising future plans, and we in the radio and television sector at Dubai Media Incorporated look forward to strengthening means of joint cooperation between the leading authorities in the country, to consolidate the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make all the desired efforts and mobilize people under one slogan, which is to advance the knowledge sector.

As it has become necessary today to highlight the importance of reading among the younger generation as a kind of concern on our part for the future generation and the importance of immunizing it with the science and knowledge required by the future full of science and technology.”

The DMI delegation included Asmaa Al Sharhan, Deputy Executive Director of Administrative Support, Ali Obaid Al Hamli, Director of the News Center, Hassan Habib, Deputy Director of Dubai Sports Channel, Aisha Al Muhairi, Director of Program Production, and Nawfar Ramoul, a media figure.

During the visit, the delegation got acquainted with the various facilities of the library, its most prominent services, and its importance in the cultural and social arena, thanks to the distinguished social space it provides to its visitors, the information center, the public library, the youth library, the children's library, the information center, and the library of maps and atlases. The Arts and Media Library, the Business Library, the Emirates Library, the Periodicals Library, and the Special Collections Library.

The delegation praised the Arts and Media Library, which includes more than 15,000 printed, digital, and multimedia works in art, architecture, design, fashion, music, performing arts and the written word, and its services, facilities, information on the history of the arts, and guidance on creative techniques and others.

The visit of the Dubai Media Incorporated delegation discussed the necessity of balancing the media dose in various aspects of life and the role of culture in this field, and the media's interaction with the library's events and activities, in addition to discussing enhancing joint cooperation, and how to benefit from the institution's archive of programs and documentaries in serving the library's content.
