'Top Gun: Maverick', starring Tom Cruise, recorded the highest box office success among foreign films released in 2022.

On the 20th, 'Top Gun: Maverick' mobilized 101,119 people nationwide to maintain the top spot at the box office, according to the integrated computer network of the Film Promotion Committee on the 20th.

The cumulative number of spectators was 5,97,905.

This also broke the record for the highest box office in foreign currency in 2022, which was previously held by 'Doctor Strange: The Multiverse of Chaos' (5.8 million people).

It is a splendid achievement after 28 days of opening.

'Top Gun: Maverick' surpassed 1 million on the 4th day, 2 million on the 8th, 3 million on the 12th, 4 million on the 18th, 5 million on the 23rd, and 5.5 million on the 26th.

It achieved the first box office reverse syndrome since the pandemic, taking the top spot at the box office for two weeks in a row and reclaiming the top spot at the box office in the fourth week of its release.

The N car tour continued, creating a fandom phenomenon called 'Top Parent' ('Crazy for Top Gun').

It is certain that it will surpass 6 million this week, and it is expected to show off the power of the Hollywood blockbuster.

If 'Top Gun: Maverick' exceeds 6 million viewers, it will be the first foreign film to be released in 2022.
