The Egyptian Ministry of Interior revealed the circumstances of a video clip that included some people claiming that a woman had tried to kidnap a girl in Giza.

The ministry said in a statement that on examination, it was found that a person reported to Kerdasa Police Station in the Giza Security Directorate that a housewife residing in the Sayeda Zeinab Police Department in Cairo had attempted to steal a sum of money from his 10-year-old daughter if she had purchased some supplies from a store.

The statement added that by confronting the defendant, she confessed to committing the incident because she was a drug user, and her attempt to steal the aforementioned child after seeing the amount of money in her hand, and the necessary legal measures were taken.
