Liu Wei:
First of all, I think Wanshantang is a good person, but due to his personality and educational level, there are many things that he cannot change in his understanding of family and work.
Wanshantang is very individual and a practical person with a relatively simple working method.
He is not a perfect father, but he "hates iron is not steel" for his son. He has always wanted to train the heirloom to be a better person than him. However, due to the death of the heirloom mother at an early age and other reasons, Wanshantang became a father again. Being a mother and unable to take care of the whole family, his feelings towards his son are still relatively complicated.

Liu Wei:
Let’s go back to the details of life. For a character like Wan Shantang, we need to find a model of life or restore the so-called real appearance to him.
I have been in contact with people like this character. At that time, I was filming in Xi'an. When I was communicating with him and experiencing life, he would not let me speak Mandarin. Try to speak in his language as much as possible.
Fortunately, I can speak a little Shaanxi dialect, and communicate with him relatively smoothly. I can also see and write down some things reflected in Wanshantang from his body. Gives a special feeling of wanting to curse.

Liu Wei:
