Météo-France placed 69 departments on heatwave orange vigilance on Monday afternoon, as well as Andorra, while 15 others on the Atlantic coast remain on red vigilance, at the height of the heatwave episode.

Temperature dropping on Tuesday
Temperatures will drop on Tuesday and "heat wave red vigilance" should be lifted on the vigilance map for Tuesday morning at 6 a.m. ", indicates Météo-France, while the high temperatures will shift "over the eastern half of France" with temperatures between 37 and 40°C.
“On Wednesday, the high temperatures will only concern the south-eastern quarter of the country”, a situation which could last for several days.
