On July 15th, Lotus Global Smart Factory was completed and put into production in Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (also known as "China Car Valley") Intelligent Connectivity and Electric Vehicle Industrial Park, and the first pure electric smart HYPER SUV Eletre was successfully rolled off the production line.
The Lotus Global Smart Factory, which was completed and put into production on the same day, covers an area of 1,526 mu, with a total investment of over 8 billion yuan. It is Lotus's leading ultra-high-end smart car production base in the world, with a planned annual production capacity of 150,000 vehicles.
The automobile industry is the largest pillar industry in Hubei, and its output ranks fourth in China. In recent years, new energy and intelligent connected vehicles have developed rapidly.
Among them, Wuhan is one of the six important automobile R&D and manufacturing bases in China.
