On the evening of the 17th, there was a fire in a condominium in Kita-ku, Kobe, and when a fire department rescued a woman with cardiopulmonary arrest from a room on the 3rd floor, she accidentally dropped it on the ground.

The woman subsequently died and the fire department decided to investigate the cause of the accident.

According to the Kobe Municipal Fire Department, after 4:00 pm on the 17th, a fire broke out from the 3rd floor of a 5-story reinforced concrete condominium in Kimikage-cho, Kita-ku, Kobe, and a total of 20 fire engines were dispatched.

When a member entered from the balcony on the third floor using a ladder, he found a 56-year-old woman living in this room lying down in a state of cardiopulmonary arrest in a room where a fire broke out.

The crew tried to secure the woman to a rescue device, tie it to a rope, and use a ladder to lower it, but on the way she lost her balance and the woman fell to the ground from a height of about 5 meters.

The woman was taken to the hospital, but was confirmed dead about an hour later.

The Kobe Municipal Fire Department says, "We must not drop people in need of rescue during rescue operations, so we would like to investigate the cause of the accident and thoroughly prevent recurrence so that this will not happen in the future."
