Although it is difficult for Chinese and foreign choirs to meet offline due to the impact of the epidemic, the number of participating teams in the 16th China International Choir Festival has achieved another breakthrough compared to the previous one: more than 530 choirs from 52 countries and regions around the world, a total of 30,000 Yu chorus lovers sign up to participate.
This chorus festival invited famous conductor Zheng Xiaoying as honorary chairman of the art committee, and invited famous chorus conductor Wu Lingfen as artistic director.
On July 19, the organizers invited outstanding choirs from four generations, including China Philharmonic Boys Choir, Financial Philharmonic Choir, Beijing Harmonia Harmony Chorus, and Beijing Philharmonic Choir, to perform in Beijing Music. Since the establishment of the China International Choral Festival, it has attached great importance to the popularization of choral art and the pursuit of social benefits.

In the past 10 years, the chorus festival has supported 68 choirs, including the Beichuan Middle School Choir and the Chunlei Girls Choir of Kuankoujing School in Ningxia, and more than 8,000 chorus teachers, involving 58 impoverished cities and counties, and millions of students have directly benefited.
The social welfare actions of the chorus festival have not only enriched the amateur cultural life of teenagers and left-behind children in poverty-stricken and ethnic areas, improved their artistic literacy, cultivated team spirit and collective consciousness, but also promoted the development of local choral art and cultural undertakings. It fully reflects the purpose of the International Choral Festival.
This year’s chorus festival will also hold public welfare activities such as the Rural Aesthetic Education Forum and the “Love Collection Night” public welfare special concert. Online special performances, live broadcasts and other methods will be used to help rural aesthetic education and rural revitalization, so that more children can show their talents to the world. style.
Li Jinsheng, chairman of China International Culture Group Co., Ltd., introduced that at the first China International Choir Festival, there were only 17 Chinese and foreign chorus participating in the festival, and now it has grown to 530; the number of countries and regions participating in each chorus festival has increased from the initial few to Today, there are 52; the domestic radiation range has expanded from the original Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region to 29 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country.
According to incomplete statistics, over the past 30 years, more than 3,000 chorus teams and more than 120,000 people from more than 90 countries and regions have participated in the chorus festival, and the online coverage of over 100 million people has effectively rewritten the history of chorus in China.
In order to maximize the display of Chinese and foreign choirs, this chorus festival will use 5G+, live broadcast and other technical means to break through the limitations of time and space, and strive to build a diversified, three-dimensional, and audio-visual chorus cloud platform to create a permanent chorus cloud platform. The Yunshang Choral Festival, which will not end, will better promote the high-quality and high-level development of Chinese choral art, effectively spread Chinese culture, and promote cultural and artistic exchanges and mutual learning between China and foreign countries.
