The Egyptian artist, Mohamed Ramadan, responded, during his interview to the "Sky News" channel, to a question regarding the link between some of his artworks and the crimes that occur in Egyptian society.
The artist, Mohamed Ramadan, said sarcastically: “I always hear that, for any crime or major crisis that occurs, not only in Egypt but in the Arab world, is attached to Mohamed Ramadan’s films, series and songs, which made me for a moment doubt that the current crisis between Russia and Ukraine is also the cause of it.” !".
And the artist Mohamed Ramadan continued, explaining: “Art is a miniature of reality, and everything we presented in the drama was inspired by reality, not the other way around, and the truth is that reality is harsher than any drama, so no matter how many works we present, there are things that the mind does not believe and what happens in reality remains. It transcends human imagination.
He expressed his anger at ignoring some of his own works, saying: "I feel upset because I presented positive models, such as the character of the honorable officer in the series (Nesr al-Saeed), who was righteous to his family, and at the end of the series he contributed to the execution of his brother because he committed a crime.
Unfortunately, these critics do not pay attention to this matter, and they only return to the first film I presented 10 years ago and other works that I presented in my early days, to confirm that it is the cause of all the negative manifestations.
