His collaborators reverently called him Maestro!
This is even how we now refer to this great name in film music, this great name in 20th century music.
We therefore call him Maestro, or even simply by his first name: Ennio.
Ennio
is also the title of the new film by Giuseppe Tornatore, the Italian director of
Cinema Paradiso
followed the immense Ennio Morricone for five years, from 2015 to his death in July 2020. And he met illustrious admirers from Bruce Springsteen to Joan Baez via Quentin Tarantino, Clint Eastwood, John Williams or Dario Argento.
