In the movie "Hidden in the Dust", the actor Hai Qing "hidden" himself into the countryside of the Great Northwest and completely turned into a farmer, completely subverting the audience's impression of her.

Dare to completely "clear" himself and create an image that is rarely seen on the screen, which shows Haiqing's dedication and unremitting pursuit of performance.

This time, Haiqing's subversive performance won unanimous praise from the audience.

Recently, Haiqing accepted an exclusive interview with Qilu Evening News and shared the behind-the-scenes story of her filming "Hidden in the Dust".

She saw making the film as an adventure because she wondered if such a role could be done on her own.

In this film, Haiqing forgets everything before, becomes Guiying, and turns himself into a real farmer.

At first I didn't dare to go to the toilet

  Later mixed with small animals

The movie "Hidden in the Dust", which is currently being shown, is written and directed by Li Ruijun, and starring actors Hai Qing and Li Ruijun's farmer uncle Wu Renlin.

The film tells the story of two people, Gui Ying and Ma Youtie, who were abandoned by their families, slowly approaching each other on the loess land and supporting each other.

Suffering from urinary incontinence and infertility, Guiying was thrown by her brother and sister-in-law to Ma Youtie, a bachelor in the village whose parents both died.

The two followed the changing seasons of labor, farming, raising poultry, building houses and repairing houses, and keeping warm together, looking forward to curing diseases, harvesting food, and living a better life.

Hai Qing plays Gui Ying, who is ill, yellow dry, black and thin, weak and weak. She has a simple northwest dialect, a face of vicissitudes, and a broken body. The roles are related.

This is a role that can be played only if the actor is completely hidden and emptied of himself. Haiqing has paid a lot for this role.

Haiqing told reporters that in December 2019, she got director Li Ruijun's script and liked it very much after reading it. When she learned that filming would start in two months, she gave up the plan to travel with her family and arrived at the director's hometown in January 2020— ——Experience life in Huaqiangzi Village, Luocheng Town, Gaotai County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province. It took 10 months to complete this film, which is completely consistent with nature's spring plowing and autumn harvesting rules.

The completely unfamiliar life almost blinded Hai Qing.

Because the house was very cold in the village, Haiqing became ill from the freezing cold and developed a high fever; because she was afraid of the donkeys, sheep and chickens in the yard, she didn't even dare to cross the yard to go to the toilet.

Haiqing also experienced a lot of hardships in life, "One day I went to the toilet by myself and chatted video with my family while going to the toilet. As a result, the big ram came in and snorted violently, and I was shocked. The phone fell directly into the dry toilet, and the other side of the video was asking me, where is this? I picked it out calmly, and I couldn't change the phone. I could only wipe it clean and continue to use it. Later, I heard that the big ram was also scared, that night. Refuse to eat corn."

Haiqing said that in the process of experiencing life, she put down all the skills, experience, judgment and cognition of acting, and devoted herself to a life similar to Guiying.

She stayed at Li Ruijun's aunt's house, and together with her aunt and her uncle's family, she made buns, twisted twists, delivered lambs, and cleaned the dry toilet.

Spring is here, the ice and snow melt, and even the animals are getting acquainted with Haiqing.

When preparing for the shooting, because the clothes she bought were too new, Haiqing was worried that there were no clothes suitable for Guiying, so she picked up the old clothes that her aunt and grandmother didn't wear, washed them with a file, put them in the sun, and made them by herself. old.

The quilt in Guiying and Ma Youtie's wedding room was director Li Ruijun's quilt when he was a child. Because of the dust mites on the clothes and the quilt, Haiqing developed a serious rash.

Haiqing said that when she was filming a scene of villagers having a meeting in the square, her assistant walked past her without recognizing her...

let go of all ego to be her

  Finish the conversation with yourself

To enter the character of Guiying, Haiqing has to transform into Guiying from the outside to the inside.

Haiqing said that she knew it was difficult to become Guiying, but she did not expect it to be so difficult.

During the filming of this movie, Haiqing passed the language barrier, the body shape barrier, and the hurdle in his heart. He felt the characters wholeheartedly, and gave the characters a unique soul.

Guiying's urinary incontinence problem, Haiqing believes, is not an externalized physical disease, she wants to find another way to present it.

"After discussing with the director, I began to observe the walking posture of the elderly with poor legs and feet in the village, and replaced it with my daily walking. The walking is also the posture in the limping scene. I walk like this every day, slowly You can fix your gait." Throughout the film, Gui Ying is hunched over, her hands are shaking, her knees are stiff, and she lives on earth with her promises.

Because of maintaining such a posture, Haiqing suffered scoliosis after filming.

In order to show the gloom and lack of spirit in Guiying's eyes, Haiqing even wanted to make her eyes look like a villager's yellowish yellow, but because she looked up at the sun for too long, her eyesight was seriously damaged.

After the filming started, Haiqing went to work with the director and his uncle. The wheat in the film was planted by Haiqing and his "uncle" Ma Youtie.

Guiying and Ma Youtie live a simple farming life, in which there is the greatest poetic life and compassion.

Guiying and Ma Youtie depend on each other for life and express their unspoken love.

Haiqing told reporters that a scene she liked very much was delivering hot water to Ma Youtie. Guiying held the water in her arms and waited for Ma Youtie to come back to drink hot water. That scene symbolized the relationship between the two. Changes, and the light and shadow of the water hit Ma Youtie's face, the light and shadow are really beautiful.

What makes Haiqing the most uncomfortable is that at the end of the film, even though Gui Ying is dead, she still holds a steamed bun for Ma Youtie in her hand.

Haiqing has survived all kinds of difficulties and completed the dialogue with himself through this role.

"Actually, when I took on this role, I didn't know if I could play it well, so I put down all my ego to become her, from thoughts to eyes to body language, I had to become Guiying and change myself into her. Become a real peasant image. This is a dialogue between me and myself." Haiqing said that many people would ask her how long it took, how hard it took, and how difficult it was to make this movie, but in fact, it was the most difficult for her. The hard part is acting, because it is against a vegan actor, and professional actors need to put down everything and try to fight "real" with each other.

Haiqing completed this adventurous performance tour.

From the image of "national daughter-in-law" in urban family dramas such as "Double Tape", "Wang Dwelling" and "Wang Gui and Anna", to the image of independent women in industry dramas such as "The Kitchen", "Mind Art" and "Please Forgive Me" , to the mother image in dramas such as "Little Joy" and "Little Farewell", and then to the distinctive female images interpreted in works of different styles such as "Hidden in the Dust", "Together" and "Ah Cradle". With hard work and breakthroughs in performance, the audience saw an actor's potential and charm without boundaries and limits.

Facing the future, Haiqing told reporters that she wanted to play a particularly sassy chivalrous girl, because it was her childhood dream to shoot martial arts, but unfortunately this opportunity has not come.
