The premiere of the series "Trap for the Judge" took place in the KION online cinema.

The detective film was directed by Yaroslav Mochalov.

The plot revolves around the investigation into the sudden disappearance of the daughter of a fair judge, played by Alexander Domogarov.

Servant of justice Nesterov celebrates his 55th birthday.

The celebration is attended by the wife (Victoria Tolstoganova), children, close friends and colleagues of the birthday man.

Everyone congratulates the hero of the occasion, admires his friendly family and has fun.

When it's time to give gifts, Nesterov's daughter, Anya (Angelina Zagrebina), turns on a video with photos of her father, and while everyone reminisces, reads the message sent to her on the phone and leaves somewhere.

After a while, the guests notice that Anya is still gone.

Her search begins: the brother and his beloved go to comb the area, the mother calls the neighbors, the father explores the house and the area around it.

When it becomes clear that Anya didn’t just go for a walk, the best police officer, Major Zabelin (Alexander Gorbatov), gets down to business.

Together with the trainee, Zabelin studies every detail, looks for clues and tries to extract the truth from the judge about his service and relationship with his daughter.

The servant of the law assumes who may be involved in the kidnapping, but his guesses turn out to be false.

During the investigation, Zabelin easily solves a completely different murder case.

There are several such twists and turns in the series.

On the one hand, the viewer understands that the detail is unlikely to apply to Anya, and it doesn’t pull on a separate plot, as happens in classical procedurals, but on the other hand, this increases interest, since there are a lot of mysteries and they are all intertwined.

In general, the story is quite predictable - for example, it immediately becomes obvious where the kidnapper will take the judge's daughter, and that the father is to blame for everything, and the criminal was clearly once unfairly convicted by him, for which he wants to take revenge.

If there were no other twists and turns in the plot, the viewer would definitely get bored.

Therefore, I want to say thanks to the screenwriters, who took the banal story of the kidnapping as a basis and supplemented it with various interesting details.

The judge and his relatives have a lot of skeletons in the closet, which the viewer learns about gradually.

Anya's mother, for example, is sure that she and her minor daughter have a trusting, friendly relationship, and she knows everything about her.

But then he finds birth control pills in her room, which she was actively taking.

Probably, Anya has a young man about whom her mother knew nothing.

Trust has been shaken, and Nesterova understands that her daughter, like all teenagers, has something to hide.

The son of the judge considers himself unloved by his parents and is jealous of his sister, and Nesterova's wife, it seems, had previously known investigator Zabelin, as evidenced by their meaningful glances at the meeting.

The project from the outside gives the viewer the opportunity to study the psychology of family relationships and how everyone behaves under conditions of severe stress.

The locations in the film are mostly quite ordinary, but the place where they filmed Anya being held hostage is impressive - a lighthouse surrounded by the dark blue water of Lake Sukho, evoking a sense of hopelessness.

The house of the Nesterov family is another attractive space: large, stylish, with floor-to-ceiling windows.

Among other things, the logical thinking of the investigator is visualized in an interesting way.

He studies the area, every footprint, a dent in the grass, and eventually gives out his version of what happened.

Zabelin voices it to the trainee and seems to see with his own eyes everything he says - the viewer sees it too.

The cast is well chosen.

It is interesting to watch the emotional outbursts of a worried father in the person of Alexander Domogarov, who is oppressed by feelings of guilt and is trying to do at least something to bring the child home alive and healthy, and a quick-witted investigator - he, on the contrary, does not give in to panic and feelings, but acts rationally and logical.

Killed a man - guilty, and no matter what the reasons could be.

However, there are a few moments in the series that seem ridiculous.

Either the characters are joking out of place and not at all funny, or the writers send one of the main characters to the hospital after an accidental fall from the stairs, which is in no way justified by the plot: it seems that the actor was simply leaked for a while.

Despite this, the picture catches attention.

In addition, family values and the theme of paternal sins are always relevant and interesting to the Russian audience.
