China News Service, Liuzhou, July 12th (Wei Guozheng) On July 12th, the 15th Southwest China Six Provinces, Regions and Cities Photography Exhibition (referred to as "Photography Exhibition") was held in Liuzhou, Guangxi, with more than 160 photographers on display. 400 photographs of his family, these works are photographers who set foot in the countryside in the southwest region and use the lens to record the new look of the countryside in southwest China.

  This year's photography exhibition is directed by the China Photographers Association, sponsored by the Organizing Committee of the Photographic Exhibition of the Six Provinces, Regions and Cities in Southwest China, and organized by the Guangxi Photographers Association and Liuzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

  In the form of "theme exhibition + invitational exhibition", the exhibition exhibited about 400 works (groups) from six provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities of Guizhou, Yunnan, Guangxi, Tibet, Sichuan and Chongqing.

Among them, the theme exhibition "The Great Beauty of the Southwest Countryside" continued the tradition of previous group exhibitions; the invitational exhibition "My Village is Beautiful" focuses on the southwestern countryside.

  At the launching ceremony, Wang Chen, Vice Chairman of the China Photographers Association, said that the invitational exhibition of this group exhibition uses the creative method of rural photography to build irreplaceable visual archives with irreproducible moments, which is an attempt to empower rural revitalization through photography.

He said: "Images record the development of the times and social changes, not only exudes the charm of photographic art, but also with the help of the power of photography, it opens a window for more people to understand the countryside, and injects vitality into the promotion of rural revitalization."

  The works exhibited this time include materials such as festival celebrations in the southwest countryside, harvest of crops, highway construction, aerial photography of landscapes, and technology-enabled agricultural production.

  Xing Yi, director of the Yunnan Photographers Association, said about the work: "In the past, most of the elderly in the village could not use these devices, but now they also use cameras and mobile phones for photography and small videos. This work is a picture. Worth a thousand words, presenting the big theme of 'rural revitalization' through a small perspective."

  Since 2008, the Photographic Exhibition of the Six Provinces, Regions and Cities in Southwest China has been held for 15 consecutive sessions, and it has become a cultural brand with great influence in the Chinese photography industry and one of the most influential photographic events in Southwest China.

Over the past 14 years, the photographic works created by photographers have become important witnesses to record the changes of the times.
