On Thursday, July 14, the Russian erotic detective thriller Possessed, directed by Igor Voloshin, is released in cinemas.

The main roles in the film were played by Lukerya Ilyashenko and Anastasia Kuvshinova.

In the center of the plot is the medical examiner Lisa, who is trying to figure out a series of murders.

The victims of an unknown criminal are her former lovers.

Lisa is free, liberated, self-confident.

She is obsessed with the beauty of the human body and physical intimacy.

The heroine believes that sex can make anyone happy, save from problems and psychological trauma.

Lisa is not looking for a serious relationship, she is only interested in casual relationships, and other people's opinions and prejudices do not care.

Having met a wounded girl on the street late at night, Lisa takes her to her home.

The next day, Lisa's passion is on her desktop: naked and with a photograph of an unknown man printed on her body.

The victim died of asphyxia, and her stomach and chest were used as photographic paper.

The pathologist understands that this is a message for her.

Other people also end up on her table: a man with a beard, a girl with piercings ... They are all united by a photo on the body, the cause of death and moments of pleasure spent with Lisa.

Investigator Andrei Voronin (Oleg Vasilkov) is investigating a series of murders.

For him, this case is of personal interest.

He suspects that the criminal is involved in the disappearance of his daughter, who disappeared several months ago.

Even before the premiere, the filmmakers promised that the audience would see many explicit scenes.

All of them are quite appropriate in this story, which, however, does not become clear immediately.

At first, they can shock some especially impressionable viewers.

Lukerya Ilyashenko appears in only two images: dressed in the same sweatshirt and naked.

More often, her heroine Lisa can be seen in the second guise.

With the role of an obsessive and unprincipled lover of casual relationships, running away either from the past or from herself, Ilyashenko did an excellent job.

Silent, thoughtful, smart, but at the same time carefree and does not think about the consequences of her actions - this is Lisa, and the viewer believes her, although sometimes she does not understand the logic of her actions.

In addition to frank episodes, the writers did not stint on blood.

A couple of cruel scenes, unusual for Russian cinema, were shown on the screen.

But the investigator Voronin, a brutal, serious man, surprises the audience with his impudent and sudden act at the end of the tape.

The general atmosphere of arthouse, psychedelics and uncontrollable desire is complemented by gloomy or, on the contrary, bright red tones of the picture, as well as unusual editing techniques, which are also used as transitions between scenes.

On the one hand, they look organically in the style of the film, and on the other hand, they further complicate the perception of an already difficult picture.

From this whirlpool of details, loud sounds, editing effects, the logical chain of the plot is lost.

The viewer tries to investigate the case together with the characters, but cannot find a definite answer.

The scriptwriters constantly throw up guesses: the criminal is obvious, he is on the screen and it seems that the story, as often happens, is so predictable that it is no longer interesting to look further, but after a while a new clue appears that defies logic, and suspicion falls on another character.

In general, the unpredictability of the plot is a significant plus, since the unsolved mystery does not let go until the end.

However, there is a drawback - the tape seems overloaded.

Separately, the picture and the plot are unique in their incarnation, but together they exhaust the viewer, because it is impossible to fully concentrate on either the specific shooting or the chaotic detective line.

The story is clarified only in the finale: the identity of the killer and his motives are revealed.

The picture touches on the topic of mental disorder and how it can affect a person's life.

This explains the confusing, sometimes illogical plot.

The ending makes you mentally scroll through the entire film from beginning to end, rethink, after which all the puzzles are finally assembled into a big picture.
