Using the pretense of playing games and making friends, one after another small casinos are set up in the app.

Players participate by purchasing game coins from the hall owner, and finally gamble through games such as smashing golden eggs and whack-a-mole.

There are more than 70,000 gamblers participating in gambling in more than 20 provinces (autonomous regions) and cities across the country.

Recently, Baotou City Public Security Bureau, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, directly under the Investigative Third Sub-Bureau, detected a cross-provincial online gambling case, discovered and eradicated a criminal gang that made apps and opened casinos.

In May 2021, the police of Baotou City Public Security Bureau's Investigation Third Branch found a hidden gambling trap behind an online game through a clue.

After a preliminary investigation, the police found clues that a criminal gang headed by Wang was suspected of opening a casino on the Internet.

Afterwards, the police found that Wang and others kept pulling people to participate in gambling through an app.

The App seems to be one game room after another, but after entering, it is actually one after another small gambling hall.

Different from cheating gold flowers and playing mahjong in the past, in the App, gambling is carried out in small and big games such as smashing golden eggs and whacking hamsters. Gambling, those who win the gambling will exchange the game currency and the owner for money, and finally the gambling funds will be transferred to the gamblers through the network payment.

During the subsequent investigation, the police found that the criminal suspect was very alert. The entire criminal gang had a clear division of labor. There were technicians who were responsible for App maintenance while manipulating the odds. Online platforms attract traffic, tempting more people to participate in gambling.

At the same time, the police noticed that the gang was all young people, the oldest was 36 years old and the youngest was 20 years old.

They not only understand the Internet and technology, but also have high vigilance. Every time they use the app for up to 20 days, they will be completely destroyed, all data will be cleared, and then a new app will be created, making it difficult for people to discover them all at once. of crime.

After the incident, the police did not let go of any clues, and through a little bit of investigation, the criminal network was gradually cleared up.

According to the police handling the case, the gamblers involved in the online gambling case involved more than 20 provinces (autonomous regions) and cities, covering Xinjiang, Tibet, Inner Mongolia, Henan, Hebei and other places, with a daily capital flow of more than 10 million yuan. The traffic is as high as more than 250 million yuan.

The suspects are also distributed in many cities, and most of them do not know each other. They are usually referred to by their online names. Most of them enter the criminal gang after being recruited through the Internet.

In the process of collecting relevant evidence, the police found that the criminal gang began to frequently change gambling platforms, and there were signs of speeding up the transfer of funds, so they decisively decided to attack immediately to catch them all.

In May 2022, after fixing the relevant evidence, the three sub-bureaus directly under the investigation will simultaneously close the network in Guangzhou, Baotou, and Nantong.

Among them, the Guangzhou arrest team successfully arrested more than 50 main members such as Wang Mou, Liu Moumou and others in the company of the gang located in Tianhe District, Guangzhou, as well as more than 50 customer service personnel who were specially responsible for the promotion and drainage of gambling websites, and seized 100 working computers on the spot. More than 100 mobile phones.

During the interrogation, the principal criminal Wang introduced that most of them were young people in their twenties who had just graduated from college and had not yet officially worked. They met on the Internet and played games together through an online dating platform, and lost some money in the game.

Unwilling to lose money, several people discussed how to "earn" money back in the same way, but they fell deeper and deeper.

The criminal suspect Liu Moumou explained that he was good at maintaining the App technology, because he knew Wang Mou and trusted him, so he helped him to do things together, but he did not expect to break the law in the end.

At present, most of the suspects have been taken criminal compulsory measures by the public security organs in accordance with the law, and the case is still under further investigation.
