The hospitalization of a loved one is an event that can be upsetting, regardless of the seriousness of the health problem.

The emergency context, the change of environment and routine, as well as the concern related to the state of loved ones are all factors that make this situation difficult.

In some contexts, nothing is provided for example in terms of catering for the sick, and all non-care services are based on the family.

In some cases, poor reception conditions for patients' relatives can make this ordeal even more painful.

Associations and care structures are involved in improving the situation of these “accompanying persons”.
