The “Make a Wish” Foundation succeeded in realizing 353 dreams inside and outside the country for children with serious illnesses during the first half of this year, compared to 285 dreams for the same period in 2021, an increase of 19%.

The wife of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, Sheikha Sheikha bint Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Honorary President of "Make a Wish", praised the efforts of the Foundation's work team during the past months, enabling them to achieve 353 wishes for sick children. She pointed out that the Foundation was able, until the end of last June, to fulfill about 55% of all the wishes of 2022, as 169 wishes were fulfilled inside the UAE, 108 wishes in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in addition to 76 wishes in the Arab Republic of Egypt, pointing out that those who Their wishes came true. They belong to 26 different nationalities, and they are children who suffer from 66 types of serious chronic diseases that threaten their lives.

Sheikha Sheikha bint Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan said: “We are proud that this year the Foundation was able to fulfill wishes in Egypt, as the International Fulfillment of a Wish Foundation was seeking to reach the African continent, and today we are happy that (Make a Wish) in the UAE has achieved this in cooperation with Magdi Yacoub Foundation for Cardiac Diseases and Research in Aswan Governorate, and Specialized University Children’s Hospital - Abul Rish in Egypt.

She pointed out that the Foundation's work team was able to plant strength, hope and optimism in the hearts of children with diseases that threaten their lives and their families, especially after the period of isolation that affected everyone as a result of the spread of "Covid-19", by fulfilling their wishes.

She added, "In the second half, we look forward to continuing to implement our noble strategy, and to draw more smiles of happiness and hope on the faces of sick children."
